Oh the weather outside might be frightful, but this eggnog latte is so delightful. So since we’ve no place to go (you know since were in the middle of a pandemic) make this latte, this latte, ho ho ho.
This recipe truly could not be more simple, seriously it has 2 ingredients.
eggnog latte ingredients
high quality coffee or espresso – I highly highly recommend Nespresso coffee, it’s basically the only kind I drink. So for this recipe we will be using that. If you do not use Nespresso pods, then any high quality strong coffee or pod will do the trick. I went with a vanilla Nespresso pod to complete this drink because I wanted to have that super subtle hint of vanilla, it worked!
Eggnog – A good quailty eggnog is key here, obviously, since its an eggnog latte. My favorite eggnog is from farmboy here in canada. its thicker and extra creamy with prominte hints of nutmeg. if you have a farmboy near you, i would recommend using theirs. If you live in the US, I have heard that trader joe’s as well as whole foods have a good eggnog, maybe give theirs a go?
Additional optional ingredients – Some additional things you can add to your latte would include; vanilla bean paste, whipped cream + fresh nutmeg.
drink pairings
I paired my latte with a warm gluten free cinnamon sugar donut. This pairs so well with the latte because it has similar enough flavors to the drink to compliment it without throwing off the flavors. Alongside the donuts, I shared spiced candied pecans, which you can find the recipe for here. The recipe for the pecans is in another main recipe, but the directions and specific ingredient list is there.
