the classic, humble guacamole. Everyone has their version of it, I just happen to think that my zesty guacamole recipe is the best version of all. But you can give it a try and see for yourself!
zesty guacamole: add ins
There are so many versions of guacamole that you can make. You can make it as crazy as you want or you can make it as simple as avocado + lime juice. It’s really up to you. I like my guac a little more on the simple side for a classic taste. But if you want to add more to it, here are some of my recommendations:
Black Beans – Adding black beans to you guac is a great choice if you want to make it a little more filling. To do this I would recommend draining + rinsing your black beans. Letting them dry a bit and then adding them to your guac.
Pomegranate – Pomegranate is a great addition to guac, they add a little bite + a little sweetness to the zesty dish.
Peaches – Peaches would be such a fun addition to guacamole. You would want to use under ripe peaches so that they do not add too much liquid to the mixture. I would dice them up into bite size chunks and add them in for a sweet bite.
Feta or Parmesan Cheese – Either of these cheeses would be amazing in guacamole. They are such salty cheeses that they would compliment the dish so well.
Bacon – omg. bacon goes SO WELL in guacamole!! 10/10 would recommend giving bacon a try.
To serve your guacamole, I like to put out extra lime + hot sauce in case someone likes more than I do. Then I serve it with tortilla chips, que pasa thin + crispy tortilla, sea salt or que pasa thin + crispy tortilla, twist of lime are my favorite!
